Dear Band Parents,

Your generous financial and volunteer help will be needed to support our band director’s success and your child’s continued growth as a musician and student.  The Band Booster organization exists to support the students in the band program.

Did you know:

The annual budget for the Valley/VSW band program is approximately $80,000, of which the district contributes less than $10,000? The Band Boosters provide the remaining funds for the program.

Valleyfest, organized by the Band Boosters and staffed by volunteers, traditionally contributes over 50% of the budget of the band boosters?

Over 60% of the band program budget is spent on concert and jazz bands?

The Band Boosters pay for essentials such as music, clinicians to support Perry Band Olympics preparation for all students, entry fees for contests, uniforms, instruments, trailer upkeep, and drivers?

To provide these amazing opportunities for your child, we need not only your volunteer hours, we need donations! We typically rely on a tax-deductible donation of at least $150 per student per year.  Donations will be acknowledged at the Spring Awards Concert (aka Spring Fling Wing Ding) on the following basis:

• • • Patron –  More than $500

• • • Treble Clef – Between $300 and $499

• • • Bass Clef – Between $225 and $299

• • • Whole Note – Between $150 and $224

• • • Half Note – Between $75 and $149

• • • Quarter Note – any amount up to $74

Your tax-deductible gifts of any size will have a positive impact.  We also encourage you to inquire with your employer, as many offer a matching contribution program.
