Dear Band Parents and Supporters,

Your generous financial and volunteer help will be needed to support our band director’s success and your child’s continued growth as a musician and student.  The Band Booster organization exists to support the students in the band program.

Did you know …

… The annual operating budget for the Valley/VSW band program is approximately $80,000. These funds cover materials and activities not covered within the school district budget.

… The Band Boosters pay for essentials such as music, marching band drill, clinicians to support Perry Band Olympics, preparation for all students, entry fees for contests, uniforms, instruments, trailer upkeep, and drivers.

… Valleyfest, organized by the Band Boosters and staffed by volunteers, traditionally contributes the majority of the budget of the band boosters.

… To provide these amazing opportunities for students in our programs, we need not only your volunteer hours, we need donations! Although Valleyfest contributes significantly to the Booster’s budget, we also have an annual appeal led by the students in which an average donation of $100-$125 per student helps fill funding gaps.

… Valley Band Boosters is a recognized 501(c)(3) within the United Way program. You may dedicate all or part of your funds directly to Valley Band Boosters as part of your annual United Way campaign.

… Some employers have matching gift programs for your donations, and in addition some employers have a financial match for the volunteer hours you put in! Check with your employer.

… Your tax-deductible gifts of any size will have a positive impact.
